Phillip Lucas - Partner

Phillip specialises in commercial property and business sales and acquisitions. His clients range from small start-up businesses needing advice on partnership and shareholder agreements, through to medium-sized businesses with a turnover of £5 million and above. He also deals with and advises many pubs, restaurants and hotels on licensing issues and provides advice on trusts, wills & probate, as well as matters relating to lasting powers of attorney.

Phillip’s client base stretches from Folkestone down to the West Country, and as far north as Manchester.

In his spare time, Phillip is a keen off-shore sailor, having qualified through the RYA as a commercially endorsed Yacht Master. He also enjoys cycling, watching his young son play rugby and football, guitar-playing with his teenage daughter and playing golf when he has the time.

Andrew Green - Partner

Andrew handles a mixed bag of litigation and has reported cases in the Lands Tribunal and in the High Court. He has recently been asked to be a scrutineer for the semi-final draw of the Heineken Cup which was live on Sky Sports television.

He is a trained family mediator and is a specialist in all aspects of family law, including divorce, financial provision and children. He deals in high value financial cases on a regular basis. He is also a member of Resolution.

He is able to advise on all aspects of employment law, both for employer and employee.

Andrew is a keen rugby player and has completed several marathons in the last few years. He is married with 2 children. He also carried out volunteer work for the local Citizens Advice Bureau.

Jonathan Wheeler - Partner

Jonathan qualified as a Solicitor in 1997, having trained with the firm. He offers a wide range of services, specialising in residential and commercial property, but also dealing with company sales and acquisitions and has advised, unfortunately, on a large number of compromise agreements in recent years.

Jonathan is very keen on most sports and enjoys playing 5-a-side football, golf (when time allows) and cricket (when the weather allows!). Any other spare time is enjoyed spent with his family.

Charlotte Searle - Partner

Charlotte advises on all aspects of private client work including drafting wills, preparing lasting powers of attorney, administering estates and dealing with trusts. Charlotte also deals with succession planning and Court of Protection matters. In addition, Charlotte has extensive experience resolving private client disputes. She has regularly advised on challenges to the validity of wills, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, issues arising from co-ownership of property, disputes regarding the administration of estates and trusts and also professional negligence claims against advisers involved in preparing wills or giving tax advice.

Charlotte is a full member of both the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS). She trained with a leading City firm, then spent a further 10 years at a large regional firm before joining Neale Turk in 2015. Charlotte spends her time outside of work running around after three young children.

John Ratcliffe - Consultant

John has been a partner of the firm for over forty years. He has considerable experience in company and commercial law and all aspects of property development. He now focuses on “private client” law dealing with agricultural commercial and residential properties, inheritance tax planning, trusts, wills and probate.

Most of his clients have been with him for over twenty five years. He enjoys spending his spare time with his wife, four children and three grandchildren.

Susan Willmott

Sue joined Neale Turk in 2000 and became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2001 (FCILEX). With an extensive background in finance and mortgages Sue specialises in all aspects of residential conveyancing (including shared ownership properties) and wills.
